Bullerswood wallpaper Morris & Co is inspired by a hand-knotted carpet from Merton Abbey. This Persian carpet was shown in 1893 at the Arts and Crafts Society exhibition. This original design most likely came from the huge Persian rug from the Kelmscott House dining room. The beautiful pattern looks like a painting.
